Cambridge English Test Day Information

Arrival Time

Your exam Confirmation of Entry (CoE) document will tell you what time to arrive. In most cases, this is 8:00 am on the day of your written papers. If your speaking test is on a different day, refer to your CoE for the arrival time.

How long is the test?

We start the first module: Reading and Use of English between 8:40 am and 9.00am, followed by the Writing then the Listening modules. the written components are finished by 1:40pm. The length of each module varies according to the level. Your CoE document will have the details.

Speaking Test

At Navitas we usually schedule the speaking tests on a Saturday. That might be the same day as your written tests, or the following Saturday if your written tests are on a week day. For example, if your written tests are on Tues 5th, your speaking test will be Saturday 9th.

Identification (ID)

You must bring your valid passport for identification purposes. If you do not have your passport you will not be able to take the test.

What can I bring into the test room?

  • Passport
  • Confirmation of Entry document
  • Pencils and pens (NO mechanical pencils or pens), highlighters, erasers, sharpeners

What can’t I bring into the test room?

  • Digital devices (mobile phones, iPods, digital watches, etc.)
  • All watches
  • Wallets and keys
  • Cases for pens or glasses
  • Pieces of paper or tissues
  • Rulers and correction fluid
  • Any cans or coloured liquids

Note: hoodies may be worn, but the hood must be left down.

Valuables

A locked bag room is available for candidate’s belongings. Please note that NETC is not responsible for loss or damage of personal items. Please leave valuables at home.
